By the authority vested in me by the Constitution and
the laws of the United States, including section
2(c)(1) of the Migration and Refugee Assistance Act of
1962 (the ``Act''), as amended (22 U.S.C. 2601), I
hereby determine, pursuant to section 2(c)(1) of the
Act, that it is important to the national interest to
furnish assistance under the Act in an amount not to
exceed $20.3 million from the United States Emergency
Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund for the purpose
of meeting unexpected and urgent refugee and migration
needs, including by contributions to international,

payment of administrative expenses of Bureau of

Talking Points for Reps. on SB 1398 – Oppose Pro-Illegal Immigration Bill

· Please vote no on SB 1398. Although the bill does not mention illegal immigration, it is aimed at cities like Farmers Branch to stop their ability to deal with illegal immigration through the granting of licenses for the occupancy of single and multifamily dwellings. Cities have attempted to enact ordinances that require only legal residents to occupy housing in their communities.

· The City of Farmers Branch has spent well over $1 million to defend its license ordinance. If passed into law, SB 1398 would interfere with ongoing legal proceedings concerning the validity of the ordinance requiring a rental license to occupy a single or multifamily unit in the city. It would strip a city’s local control to issue licenses and cost tax payers a great deal of money in the process.

· The bill is an end-around of the legal system and violates the rights of Texas cities to regulate local affairs. Stopping the Farmers Branch efforts with this legislation will also eliminate the possibility of other communities benefiting from the outcome of the court concerning illegal immigration. In effect, the legislation would derail efforts by many communities to help the federal government address the illegal immigration problem.

Talking Points for Dem. Senators – Support Anti-Sanctuary City Bill

· Please vote YES on SB 358 and end the dangerous sanctuary city policies in Texas. Sanctuary city policies enable violent criminal illegal aliens to remain within our communities without fear of being detected or deported. Too many Texans (including Texas law enforcement officers) have been killed or seriously injured because of the sanctuary given to illegal aliens by city officials.

· Sanctuary policies are illegal under Federal law, but a number of local governments in Texas still maintain policies that forbid police from asking about a person's immigration status or informing Federal immigration authorities about the presence of illegal aliens. The resulting safe havens make it easier for illegal aliens, including criminal aliens, to live undetected in the United States. It is dangerous, expensive and counterproductive to keep recycling illegal aliens through our justice system.

· Texas has sanctuary policies that do not just allow, but actually encourage illegal alien presence and activity. When public assistance agencies are prevented from inquiring about an applicant's immigration status, benefits are distributed to ineligible illegal aliens. These outrageous sanctuary policies are displacing benefits for needy Americans. Taxpayers should no longer have to foot the bill for illegal-alien public benefits.

Anchor Babies have been dropping in this Nation Since 1980. Here is one solution. If an anchor baby has not completed high school by the time he/she reaches the age of 19 they should be deported back to their parents homeland. The parents should be deported as well!
Illegals should be sued for all American Taxpayer monies they used while in America as well.
If they return after being deported and apprehended again then they may be subject to perform community work until the Tax payers money has been paid in full.

Currently we can Petition to have Section 301 Birthright Citizenship Act of 2007 repealed or changed to include the provision that One Parent must be a Legal (not legalized) Citizen of the United States.

Senate bill sets sights on illegals

Posted: 04/02/2009 11:04:37 AM EDT

The Senate approved a bill yesterday aimed at preventing illegal immigrants in Pennsylvania from getting public benefits such as unemployment compensation, welfare and Medicaid.

Senate President Pro Tempore Joseph Scarnati sponsored the bill that passed by a vote of 41-9.

The bill would require anyone applying for public benefits to provide identification proving they are legal residents and require them to sign an affidavit stating they are a U.S. citizen. The affidavit would be verified through a program operated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The bill would exempt children younger than 18, anyone eligible for Medicare and anyone receiving Supplemental Security Income or Social Security disability income.

Lebanon County Sen. Mike Folmer and all other Republican senators voted for the bill. The nine senators opposing it were Democrats from the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh areas.

The bill now moves to the House, and its chances of becoming law do not appear good.

Gov. Ed Rendell opposes the bill, saying it’s unnecessary and would create too many hoops for needy people to jump through when they apply for benefits.

Scarnati said his bill is especially needed now with the economy in crisis, because legal citizens who are struggling should not have their tax dollars tapped by illegal immigrants. He cited estimates that Pennsylvania has 100,000 illegal immigrants who have cost the state $285 million.

A Scarnati spokesman said a recent state audit shows why the bill is needed, but Rendell’s office disputed the audit’s significance.

Scarnati spokesman Casey Long cited the audit of the Department of Public Welfare that revealed that 2 percent of Medicaid recipients did not verify their citizenship or identity.

“So you’re talking about a pretty large group right there,” Long said.

Rendell spokesman Chuck Ardo said state officials checked on the audit findings and found that virtually all of the questionable Medicaid recipients were eligible.

Rendell opposes the bill because policies are already in place to protect against fraud, and it would cost millions of dollars to implement new checks, Ardo said.

Other public benefits the bill would affect are college grants and loans, state tuition rates and public housing.

Scarnati pushed a similar bill last term that cleared the Senate but languished in the House.

How the hell can there be a SIN Tax? There is a separation of Church and State.
There is not suppose to be religion imposed on me. Which Religion decided it was a
